GMC Alternative Fuel Options Expanding

As the world continues to change, one thing that many people and businesses are interested in is alternative fuels. Alternative fuels are often more efficient and less expensive than standard gasoline or diesel. This is why GMC alternative fuel options are growing.

Starting early next year, GMC will begin to offer heavy-duty pickups and full-size vans that will have 6.0-liter V8 engines capable of running on compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). There will also be alternative fuel options available for GMC’s new Low Cab Forward commercial truck.

With this expansion, GM Fleet’s lineup of hybrid, EV, and alternative fuel options grows to more than a dozen cars, trucks, and crossovers. This includes vehicles like the all-new Chevrolet Bolt EV, a B20-capable 2.8-liter Duramax diesel for GMC Savana vans, and a 6.6-liter B20-capable Duramax diesel engine for the GMC Sierra HD.

“Expanding choice is the key to helping more commercial and government fleets reduce their fuel consumption, fuel costs and emissions using alternative fuels and EVs versus using traditional gasoline,” said Ed Peper, U.S. vice president of GM Fleet. “There are no ‘one size fits all’ solutions for fleet managers.”
